Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police in response to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
